Last stay nine years ago Since then a fire has sadly destroyed much of the surrounding area, restaurant and accommodation. The chalet we were given had not been destroyed and was still in the original beautiful condition. The Managers greeted us on arrival and were friendly. Regarding the inclusive meals, for dinner we were only given two options although the breakfast was very good. Overall we thought the cost of our stay was rather high compared to other accomodation during our three week holiday in South Africa.

Charlets mit tollem Ausblick auf das zur Lodge gehörige Land und Tiere.
Super freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, tolles Essen, wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Very nice and clean lodges , very friendly received by pieter and claudie in a natural south African style , super Nice walks you can do , different choices up and down and seeing occassional wild things ( bushbuck, klipspringers , zebra and even a leopard ) and nice trees and aloes on the white trail Great food , great sunny weather at the swimming pool .. And at the top of the panorama route if you want to see those great things

Wir haben ein kostenloses Upgrade bekommen und hatten einen atemberaubenden Blick direkt aus dem Bett ins Tal. Das Essen war super lecker und es gab immer eine tolle vegetarische Alternative. Die Gastgeber waren äußerst hilfsbereit und wahnsinnig freundlich. Vielen lieben Dank für die wunderschöne Zeit.

Wij waren hier 2 nachten aan het einde van onze rondreis. Vanaf hier teruggereden naar Johannesburg voor de avondvlucht. De lodge is kleinschalig en ligt in een prachtig reservaat. De huisjes waar je in slaapt zijn echt heel erg mooi, uitzicht op de vallei met drinkplaats, buiten en binnendouche, zeer ruime kamer. Ontbijt en diner waren heerlijk, bediening heel lief. De gastheer Pieter en gastvrouw Claudie waren heel erg hartelijk en we konden elkaar prima verstaan (Afrikaans en Nederlands). In de ochtend zowel alleen als met Pieter een wandeling gemaakt, alleen maar Impala’s gezien maar voetsporen van zebra’s en apen genoeg. De dag gebruikt voor de panorama route met tips van Pieter. Die was heel erg mooi, we zijn 8 uur bezig geweest en hebben genoten.

Stayed 4 nights and used it as a well placed base for exploring parts of Sekhukuniland and the Mpumulanaga highlands. Seems a bit overpriced, but targeted at foreign travellers. Food was pretty good, nothing too fancy. Rooms very comfortable, only problem is that next door chalet kept aircon going all night long (unnecessary), and its only 5m away from bedroom window - which I wanted to keep open, so not as quite as it should have been. Previous manager had badly neglected to maintain the many great walking trails, but new manager is now working on them. Tree name labels also not maintained, but not all correct anyway.

Iketla lodge was a wonderful experience for us as returning guests from Johannesburg and for our UK friends on their first visit. The hospitality and warm welcome was excellent, as was the food; we thoroughly enjoyed the 3 nights spent in these lovely surroundings. Thank you to our hosts Pieter & Claudia

Wir hatten wundervolle drei Tage auf der IKEA Lodge. Die Lodge und das gesamte Team waren super freundlich und haben uns in allen Belangen geholfen und zur Seite gestanden. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und können es nur empfehlen dort Station zu machen.
